Fees

In accordance with the SRA Price Transparency Rules, we can confirm that most family based immigration applications will incur a fee of £1250 plus VAT and work / business based visa will be charged at £2000 plus VAT. The fee does not include the payment of the Home Office or NHS fee or the fee for an interpreter if required.

The fee will include an initial consultation where the client is advised of their options and the documents required to submit an application to the Home Office. Our solicitors will then check and prepare all the supportive materials and prepare a cover letter for the application. Further consultations will take place to prepare a statement if required and to complete the application form and finalise the list supportive evidence. If any further correspondence is received from the Home Office, the response is included in the fee up until a decision is received.

If the client's application is refused or they are detained during this process a separate fee would be incurred. This fee is normally in the range of £2000 plus VAT and includes the preparation of the bundle including all supportive statements, instructions to expert and attendance at the hearing. The fee for expert reports is payable separately by the client as is the fee for an interpreter if required.

Some cases may incur an uplift in the fee incurred due to the work load or because specialist advice is required. In such cases the client will be informed from the outset and a detailed breakdown of the work will be provided.

Legal Aid

SI Legal Services has been awarded a legal aid contract and can provide free assistance to all individuals who qualify under this scheme. Legal Aid is available in the areas of Asylum law including Fresh Claims and for Domestic Violence applications and includes representation at court at all levels. Our solicitors will be happy to complete an assessment with you to determine whether you qualify for legal aid.
